Ode To Cupid!

Oh Cupid, why hast thou pierced mine heart with thy arrow?
This maketh my knees quake, in the thought of her.
My heart skips a beat when I think of your smile.
My heart bleeds from the sharp point of the tip.

Why doest thou mock me with this pain,
A pain of not knowing her love for me.
How I long for her approval and gentle touch,
Assurance that she too has been struck with thou arrow!

How I long to receive the comfort of her smile,
How my languished soul doest seek such thrill.
Why hast thou beseech me to think,
That I, simply, may have such a chance?

How my emotions have erupted,
Though I fear, my pains are too corrupted.
For it is love from this woman I seek,
Yet now I ask to be strong and meek.

For time doest not bid me well,
So my soul I offer up to sell.
That I may know and be able to rest my head,
And put an end this quest I dread.

For love is a journey we all must take,
Not a destination that we all forsake.
